Inground Pools Coquitlam

Pool building technology has made many advances over the years and modern day pools are much different than those constructed in the past. Typically our inground pools are constructed with the highest quality gunite as concrete can be formed into any shape or size for true customization. Another great option with concrete is that if you have an existing pool, you do have the option for it to be enlarged, refinished, or even rebuilt in the future. This provides a lot of our clients with the comfort that there is an option to potentially make some future changes. If you are interested in learning more, make sure to give our team a call. Our pool contractors are some of the best to do it in the whole country.

Infinity Pools Coquitlam

One of the premium and luxury options for a pool is an infinity pool. It has a long list of names that it goes by in the industry such as: vanishing edge, disappearing pool, waterfall edge, eternity pool, and of course most commonly known as the infinity pool. Infinity pools are extravagant in nature and gives the illusion that you are on with the horizon. There are some astonishing view points created in BC with the combination of an infinity pool over looking a beautiful landscape. We've constructed some breath taking views overlooking the water in West Vancouver, UBC, North Van, Anmore, and White Rock. Even mountainous areas can create an incredible backdrop in areas like West Wood Plateau, up the mountain in Burnaby, and many parts of Surrey are excellent candidates for an infinity pool. Whenever you have a bit of a drop in elevation or vertical space to work with, and infinity pool becomes an attractive design option for your pool. There is definitely more work and knowledge involved when constructing these types of pools so make sure you hire a pool contractor that has built infinity pools in the past.

Commercial Pools

There are some parallels and the overall concept is similar for an inground pool and a larger commercial pool or a specialty pool. However, there is a lot more planning that goes into the construction of a large scale project such as these. Commercial pools we have built in the past have come in areas such as: community centres, spa pools, commercial hotel pools, resort pools, competitive Olympic sized pools, leisure pools, waterpark pools, and other custom specialty pools. A commercial pool is not simply making a regular pool on a larger scale so you want to make sure you have a commercial pool contractor that has experience in these types of builds. This experience will show right away when going through the initial design and planning of the project. If you are a hotel chain manager looking to build a new luxury pool in your hotel or a spa owner looking to create an amazing destination, give our commercial pool contractors a call to guide you through your next project.

Pool Remodeling and Restoration

Over time, your pool may feel like its slightly outdated and may be showing its age. It could be a new feature that you saw on another pool or maybe you have an older pool system that isn't quite running as efficiently as it could be. Or you might just be looking to expand the size of the pool out a bit. Any of these scenarios are a perfect fit for a pool remodeling or restoration project. Imagine a new addition to your pool like a waterfall or custom lighting or an upgraded deck. Other additions like a spa area or sun shelf can also bring further utility to your pool space as well.
While it well depend on what you are looking to get done, there are some fairly inexpensive changes that you can make that could make a quite a drastic difference in appearance and function for your pool. An update to your pool system could even save you money in the future as it maintains your pool in a much more efficient way. A pool renovation could be just the thing that your pool needed.

Deck Building

Once we've installed your custom made pool, there is usually one more immediate step that should be done and that is to have a pool deck installed. Your pool deck is essential to the overall feel and aesthetic of the landscape. A perfectly built pool might not be able to overcome a poorly built deck when it comes to the visuals. While not necessary, having a general idea of what your space will look like post pool construction can go a long way in the planning process. Imagine having the potential setup for an outdoor kitchen which could be the perfect spot to host an outdoor social event. While the team at Coquitlam Pool Builders mainly focuses on building pool decks for pools that we have constructed on, we have built countless pool decks for our clients regardless if we were the original pool builder or not. Decks can come in many different type of styles and materials each coming with is own set of pros and cons. The most common types of pool deck are made of: brick, concrete, stone, wood, tile, a mixture, synthetics, vinyl, or artificial turf. Many time there are permits and guidelines that need to be followed when building a deck on your property so make sure you speak with an experienced deck contractor to help guide you through this process.

Vinyl Pool Coquitlam

We also provide a more budget friendly pool option which typically have lower upfront costs compared to concrete and are much quicker to construct. This type of pool is called a vinyl pool. Vinyl liner swimming pools are popular not only in the lower mainland but across the country as well. These pools are constructed using durable materials that are able to withstand UV rays and any chemicals that are in your water. You are also able to have custom liners installed which gives you some flexibility in the over all design. The best part about a vinyl pool is that once the permit process is done, installation time is much less compared to concrete and you are able to enjoy your pool in a shorter turnaround time. Always consult with your pool contractor to see if a vinyl liner pool is a better option for your situation.
